Troubleshooting And Solution For Shockwave Flash Crashes On Google Chrome Browser - Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1

Many people have been experiencing Shockwave Flash crashing on the Google Chrome Browser receiving this error message: "The following plugin has crashed: Shockwave Flash."

It appears that this happens the most while folks are playing various games. Many of the Facebook games/apps as well as those that are Zynga based will be using Shockwave Flash browser plugins to allow you to play the game/app in real time.

Many other games will also depend upon Shockwave Flash to provide the ability to interact through a browser without having to download the game or software onto your computer or tablet.

There are times you will also experience this type of crash if you are on a website that allows advertisers to use Shockwave Flash in the various ads that you see on a site.

What causes this?

In many instances there are more than one type of flash plugins installed on Google Chrome that may cause conflicts with each other.

What do you need to do?

To stop this from happening, you, the user, will need to disable all but one of the Flash plugins.

The below are steps that will help you resolve this issue:

• Open your Chrome browser.

• In the website address bar at the top of your page, type "about:plugins," and then press the "enter" key. You will be shown your Google Chrome Plugins page.

• Scroll down the page looking for "Flash". (Most of us will see two versions of "Flash" installed, Chrome and Pepperflash.)

• As shown in the photo, click the "Disable" under your Pepperflash version. This will disable the plugin, becoming grayed out.

• Be sure that the Chrome version is enabled. If it is grayed out, click "Enable" under the Chrome version. (You will see the Chrome version listed in the following file or a similar one, Windows\system32(or 64)\Macromed\Flash etc.)

• Once you have completed the above steps, you would close your Plugin tab.

This should resolve your Flashwave Flash problems while using Google Chrome.

If you have more than the above two versions installed, disable all but the one mentioned above.

One final step would be to then proceed to the Adobe Flash Player page to verify that your Shockwave Flash is properly installed.

Resolving such issues certainly will take a load of stress and aggravation off of the shoulders of those who find themselves online wanting to relax and enjoy a hour or so playing a game.

It is hard to figure how this has gone on for so long without Google/Chrome and Adobe getting together to only keep the one and only working Shockwave Flash installed on the Chrome browser. In my case, I am not sure how other versions of Shockwave Flash got installed on my system. My research leads me to assume that some other download included this plugin within the download and it went right by me without me noticing it. Always be careful to check when downloading software. Look for that option to opt out of including anything else they may want to include.

A word of caution if you are searching online for various computer, browser and internet related issue solutions. Many people will start having you go into your actual operating system at a level that an inexperienced person should not and alter some very sensitive system files. If there is a mistake, such as a simple typo, you could crash your whole system. If you are not experienced at what is being presented in a solution it is much better to leave it to a computer technician.

Below there are some hints, tips and what some would call "spoilers" for playing Pets on Tagged.com. These are from my years of experience playing the game and staying ahead, therefore winning at the game of Pets.

Private Profiles - my "Opinion"

If you are playing Tagged PETS and your profile is set to PRIVATE, you are an idiot. (There are a few exceptions to this.) If you want or expect someone to buy you as a pet on Tagged you must be accessible to them.

If I am going to buy a pet the first thing I want to do is check it out, to see if this is a real person or a fake profile. Also, I want to see how long you have been playing, if your LUV is full, who your friends are, etc.

If you want to be actively bought remember that having your profile set to private will slow down this process, limiting the amount of money you can make with your Pet's profile.

Exceptions:

1. If you are a super big player and get 1,000 messages a day or do not want anyone to ever buy you, then private is perfectly okay.
2. If you do not play pets, then who cares if you are running a private profile on Tagged. If you are a girl (or guy pretending to be a girl) that thinks someone will stalk you if you are not set to private then you are fooling yourself and should not be playing Pets anyway.  If someone is bothering you, simply block them and that puts an end to the problem.

In general, people who are set to private on their profile on Tagged and do not fall into these exceptions have something to hide and are probably not a safe or smart buy.

Tagged.com Pets Amateur Advice For Newbies

1. Never ask someone to buy you to increase your value or build your cash.  The way to get bought is to have a good cash to value ration.  Do not rely on other people's money to build your own cash.
2. Never buy a pet just because someone asks you to.  No exception to this.
3. Play fair and honest.  If you don't, word will get around and no one will play Pets with you.
4. If you buy a guy then you better love him because he is probably going to be on your page for quite some time.  If you do buy a guy, try to buy one with as many wishers as possible. (Preferably more than 50.) Do not buy private pets.
5. Keep as much of your money free as you can, but try and always keep several nice pets on your page that are active players.  Try to buy other Pet players because they understand the importance of staying active also.  Try not to buy a pet just because it has a pretty picture.
6. Make sure you have fun playing Pets, remembering it is just a game!

How To Get Bought and Increase Your Value on Pets

On Tagged.com, if you are playing the game of Pets, remember you have to earn being bought.  I will never buy anyone simply because they ask.  Play the game as lazy players and beggars will never get bought.

Try to get your Assets to be equal to or higher than your Value.  Try to keep your Cash higher than half of your Value.  The way you increase your cash and assets is to buy and sell pets.

Show you are a good playing by actually playing the game of Pets.  Be active in the pet runs and get to know other players.  Watch for pet runs and play against bigger players.  If you are good and get buys in on the pet runs, then a bigger player will notice you and possibly buy you.

Players of Pets like to buy other active players, especially hot, sexy and active players.  Never buy a pet you can't sell or not willing to hold on to because there is no guarantee that they will move off your page quickly.

Also, keep in mind that your Cash will not go up very much being bought.  Your Value increases by 10 percent, and then you only make 5 percent of that.  The best way to make Pet's Cash is have fun playing pets.

A.P.O. - Active Pets Only

(APO) Active Pets Only is a principle, not a team.  It is an acronym that can be shared by all, not just certain ones.

Active pets are not just a pet that has bought a pet recently.  They are buy active pets from their owners, regardless of who they are. They trade with their team mates before others to show support, and they have not issue helping solo traders or members of other teams as well.

They don't beg to be bought.
They don't expect to be raised in value daily.
They don't whine when nobody buys from them.
They mentor their own pets.
They keep good pets on their page.
They accept responsibility for their buys.
The communicate and network.
They play the game hard.

Playing Pets On Tagged.com and Your Wish List

What is the Wish List and why is it important to playing the game Pets?

I add friends to my wish list so that I can find them quickly and look at their pets from time to time.  Having wishers and adding people to your Wish List is important so that other pet players know how popular you are.  The more wishers a pet has the more likely they are, long term, to be good players.

When you buy a pet try to use the amount of wishers they have to determine how well they play pets.  If they have a high value and low amount of wishers (under 50) then they are not likely great Pet players. If they have no wishers then absolutely nobody cares about them and they might not be a good pet to buy.

The way to view a person's pets page and add them to your wish list is to click in on their Tagged profile page, then in the upper left of that profile page, click the link titled "View Pets".  After you are there you will see where, under the photo, you can click "Add To Wish List".  Simply click that and you have added this pet to your wish list.

In conclusion, always be honest and play Pets fairly and you will go far in the game!

How To Monetize Your Blogger Blog: An Example To Follow

Google Adsense, Affiliate Links, Amazon And More Create Blogger Cash Revenue!

Many folks have Blogger blogs out there, but truly do not know how to monetize their blogs.  Blogger provides great tools to create a blog. You have the option to make your blog unique on all levels.

An example of what you can do with Blogger blogs is what I have done. (If you are reading this, you are on my blog, so browse around!)  I have my own domain first of all.  It does not have anything about Blogger in the URL.  I purchased it from GoDaddy for a very small amount of money for the annual fee. You can save some money, as I did, my renewing it for several years in advance.

Incorporating Google Ads assures that you will make some revenue from Google Adsense as well.  You can add YouTube videos to your articles also.  In my case, I have my own YouTube videos that are monetized via Google Adsense, so I use them at various times.  This again increases revenue via YouTube's association with Google Adsense.

You can post affiliate modules (links) as well to earn extra revenue.

I also have an Amazon module incorporated that shows related items that are of interest on the Amazon site.  You can earn additional revenue from that as folks click in to view those items along with purchasing these items or other items they may find after clicking in.

The lay-out options are amazing for your Blogger blog. As mentioned, you can create your own lay-out and not be tied down to a generic type of lay-out.  By doing this, along with your own domain, you create a blog that is unique and at first glance is not identified as being a Blogger blog.

Another revenue maker is the ability to create links of your own, as I have done, up at the top that goes to my other various pages and websites out there.  This increases your views and also your sales should you be selling something online.  Several of my sites pay for views, comments, etc.

There are great instructions and tutorials provided by Blogger on using all the various tools that you find on your dashboard.  Easy to follow instructions on how to incorporate Google+ as well as Google Adsense for your blog and many, many other options.

Statistics are amazing.  It is very easy to view what is getting traffic, where that traffic is coming from and much more. I always find it interesting to see what my traffic sources are.

Blogger has a great article editor incorporated and it is very easy to include links, videos and photos within your blog posts.

Share options are at the bottom of each post for the various social medias that you may want to share on.  Others can also use these buttons to share your article with others via their social media.

Bluetooth Problem Solved After Upgrading From Windows 8 to Windows 8.1

Recently I upgraded my Dell Inspiron One 20" All-in-One Desktop 2020 from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1.  It is quite a lengthy process, however I got tired of being prompted to upgrade quite often, so I went ahead with the Windows 8.1 upgrade.

Prior to the upgrade to Windows 8.1, I used my Bluetooth connection between my LG Optimus smartphone and my Dell computer to transfer photos, videos and music.  This was always quick and worked each and every time.

Immediately after upgrading to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8, I was not able to use the Bluetooth feature to transfer files between my phone and my computer.

I would get a pairing and connection for 2 to 5 seconds then everything would disconnect.  I tried uninstalling and re-installing the phone to the computer and also the other way around, dropping the computer from the phone.  On both devices I would then search again and go through the pairing process.  This was to no avail with the same disconnection results after being connected for just a few seconds.

I searched the forums and topics for quite a few hours and never found a good solution.  I started my own research and finally found the solution to my problem.

Even though, in my device manager, none of my Bluetooth drivers appeared with a yellow exclamation mark after them denoting they need to be updated, and the Microsoft search tool stated they were the most up to day, I found that this was not correct.

My research came up with the below link on the Dell site that did fix this problem with my Bluetooth connection.  It is indeed a needed and recommended Bluetooth driver update for Windows 8.1 specifically.

I did the download, the install and the reboot, and the Bluetooth is working just fine now.

This appears to be a well known problem with many devices upon upgrading to Windows 8.1.  My suggestion would be that you go the Bluetooth radio manufacturer's website for the Bluetooth radio that your device is using and search for driver updates for Windows 8.1 specifically.
